Our Advanced Imaging Technology
We’re proud to offer the only Esaote MRI scanner in Arizona, providing highly detailed images of your horse’s soft tissues, tendons, ligaments, and bones. This non-invasive tool allows us to detect injuries that may be missed on X-rays or ultrasound.
Why MRI?
- Detects soft tissue and bone injuries with exceptional clarity
- Ideal for diagnosing subtle or complex lameness issues
- Provides crucial insights for customized treatment plans
Our technology and expertise enable us to also do MRI scans of small animals.

Ultrasound technology allows us to assess soft tissue structures like tendons, ligaments, and muscles in real-time.
Ultrasound is ideal for:
- Diagnosing tendon and ligament injuries
- Monitoring the healing process during recovery
- Evaluating joint and muscle conditions

Our high-resolution digital X-ray system provides fast, clear images that allow us to assess bone structure, joint health, and identify fractures or abnormalities.
Benefits of Digital Radiography:
- Immediate results for faster diagnosis
- Clear imaging for precise evaluation
- Useful for both routine and emergency situations

Using nuclear scintigraphy (bone scans), we are able to detect issues with the equine bone structure that may not be apparent on a radiograph or ultrasound, assisting in diagnosis of horses with multiple lameness concerns.
Upper airway conditions can limit your horse’s performance and require static or dynamic endoscopy. The advantage of dynamic endoscopy is that we can evaluate upper airway function in real-time during exercise, because what happens at rest doesn’t always reflect what happens in motion.

Equine gastroscopy is a procedure to view the inside of a horse’s stomach, and is the only way to accurately diagnose stomach ulcers in horses.
